What’s the difference between stainless or zinc and polished?

Coat steel with a protective layer of zinc is a common way to deal with inner wires. A brake wire is wound with 19 thin steel wires. The surface is coated with zinc to lubricate and prevent rust.
The stainless version is wound with 19 thin stainless steel wires.It is softer for cable bending, better rust resistance, and smoother surface.and you don’t need to worry coating fail with worn. so the stainless version is our recommendation, it will improve shifting/braking feel obviously.

Polished

The polished version is manufactured based on the stainless steel version. ultra-slick surface delivers precise, low friction performance.There is no coating to flake off during installation or riding, making the cable more durable and ensuring long lasting performance.
